Leadership challenges we hear from Bristol managers

Managers are under pressure, juggling people, targets, and change with little time or support.

Warning icon

Managers struggle to lead people

Many managers are confident with tasks but feel unsure when it comes to motivating people, handling issues, or having honest conversations.

Warning icon

Too busy managing tasks

When everything feels urgent, managers focus on delivery and firefighting, leaving little time to support, develop, or lead their teams well.

Warning icon

Avoiding difficult conversations

Performance issues, conflict, and low engagement often go unaddressed because managers lack confidence in how to speak clearly and calmly.

Warning icon

Low confidence in day to day leadership

Managers want to do a good job but feel unsure how to lead meetings, give feedback, or make decisions without second guessing themselves.

“I really enjoyed a five-day Leadership Development program delivered by Richard in Dubai, in July 2019 - and found this course very useful and interesting. The content was very structural and covered the essential skills needed for modern managers motivating for a further self-study upon your needs on different topics. I definitely recommend this training for new managers and those who need to develop their "must-have" manager skills, and recommend Richard as a highly professional trainer.”

Liudmyla Stepanenko, Financial Planning Manager | GBM

“At first I was a little frustrated at having to attend the course, as much of the content felt familiar. However, my frustration soon disappeared as Richard’s style and ability to engage had everyone participating with enthusiasm. The course covered change leadership, situational leadership, self-awareness and emotional intelligence. It refreshed things I had forgotten and highlighted poor habits I had picked up. At the end of the course I felt energised and far more aware of my leadership style.”

Vince Edes, Management Training Delegate

“I cannot recommend Bespoke Business Training and, in particular, Richard highly enough. Richard has been a fantastic coach offering pragmatic guidance and solutions to management and leadership challenges in a thoughtful and considered way. His very approachable and personable manner enabled sessions to get to the heart of issues and allowed for purposeful action plans to be drawn up. The support provided has had a genuinely positive impact.”

T. Wotton, Management Coachee

“Richard provided a totally captivating and thought-provoking experience. He breaks down concepts to make them memorable and easy to digest. The delivery was well structured and engaging throughout, keeping everyone involved and focused. I would highly recommend his training to anyone looking to improve their leadership or management capability.”

Bullet Point

1. Initial conversation

You get in touch via our website, email, or referral. We arrange an initial conversation to understand what you’re looking for and whether we’re the right fit.

Bullet Point

2. Understanding your needs

We talk through your organisation, your managers or employees, and what’s driving the training. This helps clarify goals, challenges, and the outcomes you want to achieve.

Bullet Point

3. Creating a tailored outline

Based on our discussions, we design a clear, flexible course outline. This shows what the training will cover, how it will work, and allows space for refinement before anything is finalised.

Bullet Point

4. Preparing your delegates

To find out the aims and questions of delegates, we send a pre-course questionnaire for them to complete. This helps delegates feel more prepared and allows us to tailor the sessions even further.

Bullet Point

5. Delivering the training

Training is delivered in person, online, or in a blended format. Sessions are highly interactive, using discussions, exercises, and real examples to keep people engaged.

Bullet Point

6. Follow-up and continued support

After training, delegates complete an action planner with post-training goals to implement aspects of the course. Optional follow-up coaching sessions and feedback reviews help reinforce learning and support long-term progress.
